Field Hockey Advances to CSAC Championship

ALLENTOWN, Pa.- The third seeded Wilson College field hockey team took on the second seed Cedar Crest College Falcons this afternoon in the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Semifinals. A hat trick from junior Michaela Singer helped push the Phoenix past the Falcons, 4-3. With the win, Wilson advances to their fifth consecutive conference championship and will be looking for their first NCAA appearance on Saturday.

Field Hockey Tabs Four to All-CSAC Honors

ROSEMONT, Pa. - The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) has announced their 2019 Field Hockey End of Year Awards and four Wilson College field hockey team members earned All-CSAC honors. Juniors Jenna Carty (Chambersburg, PA., Greencastle-Antrim) and Michaela Singer (Annville, PA, Annville-Cleona) earned first team honors, freshman Alexis Pflumm (Camden, Del. , Caesar Rodney) earned second team honors, junior Krista Nayadley (Hampton, VA, Hampton) earned honorable mention honors and junior Bethany Comp (Millerstown, PA., Greenwood) earned all-sportsmanship honors.

Women's Volleyball Earns Two All-CSAC Selections

ROSEMONT, Pa.- The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) has announced its 2019 Women's Volleyball End of Year Awards. These awards include: first-team, second-team and honorable mention All-CSAC, All-Sportsmanship, Player of the Year, Defender of the Year, Rookie of the Year, Coach of the Year, and the 3-D Award. The student-athletes were selected to their respective squads by the conference's ten head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own players.

ROSEMONT, Pa. - The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) has announced its 2019 Men's Soccer End of Year Awards and three Wilson College men's soccer members earned All-CSAC honors. Freshman Aaron Harrison (Archbald, PA., Valley View) was named Second Team All-CSAC while Senior Dan Perry (London, England, Okanagan Secondary) and freshman Joe Pacheco (Jonesboro, ARK., The Academies at Jonesboro) earned Honorable Mention All-CSAC honors.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Wilson College men's soccer team hosted the Defenders of Clarks Summit University this afternoon in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) match. During halftime of today's match, the men's soccer seniors were honored as they got set the play their final match at home. Despite a hard faught effort, the Phoenix (4-13-0, 2-4-0 CSAC) were defeated by the Defenders (5-10-1, 3-3-0 CSAC) by a final score of 2-0.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.- Michaela Singer's (Annville, PA, Annville-Cleona) second hat-trick of the season helped the Wilson field hockey team cruise to a 4-1 victory over CSAC foe, Notre Dame of Maryland University. With the win, the Phoenix improve to 7-7 overall and are now 3-1 in conference play.

Golf Closes Out fall Season at LVC Invite

ANNVILLE, Pa. - The Wilson College golf team closed out the fall portion of their 2019-20 schedule this afternoon at the Lebanon Valley College Fall Invitational played at the Lebanon Country Club. The Phoenix shot a 434 to finish in 13th place out of 14 teams. Penn State Berks took home first place after shooting a 305 while Stevenson University's Matthew Shur took home medalist honors after firing a 1 under par 71.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.- The Wilson women's soccer team played host to the Defenders of Clarks Summit University this afternoon on the team's senior day which recognized four Phoenix seniors, Caylin Walp, Noemi Regan, Ashlee Bourquin and Carrie Stemple. Wilson (7-7-1, 2-4 CSAC) used an early two goal lead to cruise past the Defenders (4-9, 0-6 CSAC), 3-0.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.- The Wilson College field hockey team took on the visiting Chargers of Lancaster Bible College this morning in front of a large homecoming crowd. The Phoenix (6-7, 2-1 CSAC) won in dominating fashion, defeating the Chargers (3-12, 1-3 CSAC) 5-1 to earn a conference victory.

Women's Volleyball Falls to Defenders

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Wilson College women's volleyball team was in action this afternoon as they squared off against the Defenders of Clarks Summit University in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) match. The Phoenix (12-9, 5-2 CSAC) were defeated by the Defenders (7-18, 2-4 CSAC) by a score of three sets to none with scores of 25-20, 25-22, and 25-17. Tonight was also senior night for the volleyball team as they honored their lone senior, Lizzy Farnes (Coconut Creek, Fla., Coral Springs).
