CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Wilson College Director of Athletics Lori Frey has announced that Terrance Harris has been named the interim head coach of the women's soccer program. Harris most recently served as an assistant coach with the program during the 2019 spring season.
CULVER CITY, Calif.- Junior softball player Megan Potter (Hagerstown, Md., South Hagerstown) was named to the Fastpitch News All-American Honorable Mention team.
ROSEMONT, Pa.- The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) announced the 2018-2019 All-Academic team, which included 34 Wilson College student-athletes. In order to be selected, student-athletes must achieve a grade-point average of 3.20 or better during their semester of competition, while using a full season of eligibility as determined by the NCAA. The CSAC named a total of 472 student-athletes to the list. Seven of the nine core members had over 40 percent of thie rosters named to the All-Academic team.

Barbieri comes to Wilson after serving as the assistant coach and offensive coordinator at Hood College since 2015. She is also the founder of the Atlantic Coast Lacrosse Academy and is the director of the Maryland Lacrosse showcase.
ERIE, Pa. - The Wilson College baseball team capped off a fantastic inaugural season with an appearance in the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship semi-finals this afternoon in Erie, Pennsylvania. The Phoenix (21-13) fell to the top seeded Pfeiffer University Falcons (29-8) by a final score of 10-2 on the campus of Penn State Behrend, which served as the host for the championships.

The Phoenix (20-12) will enter the tournament as the #4 seed and will host #5 seed Penn State Altoona (28-16) at Henninger Field on Wednesday, May 8 at 3:00 p.m. The winner of the first-round game will advance to play No. 1 Pfeiffer University (28-8). Weekend hosts No. 2 Penn State Behrend (24-16) will square off against No. 3 Grove City College (27-15). The Championship game will be played on Sunday May 19.
CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. - The historic season for the Wilson College softball team came to a close in the NCAA Crestview Hills, Kentucky regional. The Phoenix (27-8-2) were defeated by the Dickinson College Red Devils (25-16) by a final score of 8-2. This season marked the first ever appearance in the NCAA championships for the Phoenix.

Wilson, a first-year program, saw five players land spots on the All-Conference teams. Freshman Hunter Cheek (San Antonio, Texas, Smithson Valley) was the only Phoenix player named to the first-team. Freshmen Kevin Ehrman (York, Pa., Central York) and Nick Quinn (Odenton, Md., St. Mary's) were both selected to the second-team while Juan Rosario (Hollywood, Fla., Hollywood Hills) and Zach Sutherland (Lumberton, N.J., Rancocas Valley) earned honorable mention honors.
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - The Wilson College softball team will head to Crestview Hills, Kentucky for their first ever appearance in the NCAA Division III Softball Championships on May 10-12. Four teams will compete at 14 regional sites and three teams will compete at two regional sites. The team advancing from each regional will compete in the super regional round May 17 and 18. The finals, hosted by Texas-Tyler, will be held May 23-28 at Suddenlink Field in Tyler, Texas. All rounds will use a double-elimination format.

The Phoenix (20-11, 9-6 CSAC) captured two victories today as they swept the Patriots (6-25, 1-14 CSAC) by scores of 10-0 and 16-2.

The Phoenix (27-6-2) played two games against the Falcons of Cedar Crest College (19-24) and beat them both times by scores of 5-4 and 9-4. Wilson completed the sweep of the championship and was crowned as the new 2019 CSAC softball champions!

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.- The Wilson College softball team got set to play in the opening rounds of the 2019 Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) softball championship, that took place earlier today. The Phoenix (25-7-2) took down the Cyclones of Centenary University by a score of 2-0 in the opener and was delayed in the top of the fourth inning of the nightcap against Cedar Crest College with the score 3-0 in favor of the Falcons.

ROSEMONT, Pa. - Wilson College junior pitcher Megan Potter (Hagerstown, Md., South Hagerstown) has been named the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Pitcher of the Week. Potter threw the first perfect game in program history in an 8-0 win over Cedar Crest. For the week she went 5-0 in CSAC play allowing just 6 runs in 28 innings of work. For the season Potter stands at 17-3 with a 1.86 earned run average in 131.2 innings pitched. She has struck out 177 hitters while walking just 12.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.- The Phoenix softball team played host to the visiting Highlanders of Cairn University this afternoon in the regular season finale for the Phoenix. Wilson took care of business in both games, defeating Cairn by scores of 8-0 and 12-4. With the win, the Phoenix finish with a perfect 14-0 record in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play and are now 24-6-2 on the season.
