Adams Named CSAC POW

ROSEMONT, Pa. - Wilson College men's basketball senior Keion Adams (Gaithersburg, Md., Seneca Valley) has been named the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Men's Basketball Player of the Week. Adams had 15 points and 5 rebounds in a 113-57 victory over the University of Valley Forge and followed that up with a 27 point and 10 rebound effort against Cairn University. The win over Cairn secured the #2 seed in the CSAC playoffs.

ROSEMONT, Pa. - Wilson women's basketball senior Kai Wyatt (Baltimore, MD) has been named the Colonial States Athletic Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week. Wyatt led the Phoenix in scoring averaging 25 points per game. She had a 23 point and 4 rebound effort in a 54-49 victory over Notre Dame that clinched a spot in the post-season for the Phoenix. She closed out the regular season with a season high 27 points while playing all 40 minutes versus Cairn University. This is the second time this season Wyatt has been named the CSAC Player of the Week.

Men's Hoops Lands 3 on All-CSAC Team

ROSEMONT, Pa. - The Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) has announced its 2018-19 men's basketball end of season awards as voted on by the leagues head coaches. Wilson College men's basketball players Keion Adams (Gaithersburg, Md., Seneca Valley), Rashaan Bean (San Antonio, Tx, Forest Park), and Zachary Powell (Manassas, Va., Osbourn) earned all-conference honors.

Wilson College seniors Lindsey Purvis (Fort Myers, Fl, South Fort Myers) and Kai Wyatt (Baltimore, MD) earned First Team All-CSAC honors.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.- The Phoenix men's volleyball team was in action for the second time in as many days, facing the Wildcats of SUNY POLY in a NEAC match. The Wildcats (6-7, 2-1 NEAC) defeated the Phoenix (2-3, 1-2 NEAC) in straight sets by scores of 25-17, 25-12 and 25-20.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.- The Wilson College men's volleyball team was in action, this morning, as the faced off against the Eagles of the College of Saint Elizabeth in a North Eastern Athletic Conference (NEAC) game. After a closely fought match, the Phoenix (2-2, 1-1 NEAC) defeated the Eagles (2-6, 0-4 NEAC) three sets to one, with scores of: 30-28, 26-24 Eagles, 25-23, and 25-21.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.- The Phoenix men's hoops team wrapped up the regular season at home today against the CSAC leading Highlanders of Cairn University. Wilson (14-11, 9-3 CSAC) defeated the Highlanders (17-8, 10-2 CSAC) 89-81, in front of a capacity crowd . With the win, the Phoenix clinched home court advantage for the first-round of the CSAC Playoffs beginning on Wednesday. The victory also came on Senior Day, as the team celebrated its two seniors, Keion Adams (Gaithersburg, Md., Seneca Valley) and Ian Frazier (Palmyra, Pa., Palmyra).

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa- The Wilson College women's basketball team looked to wrap-up their regular season this afternoon as they faced off against their Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) foe, the Highlanders of Cairn University. The Phoenix (15-10, 9-7 CSAC) were defeated by the Highlanders (12-13, 9-7 CSAC) by a score of 69-62. Before the game, the women's basketball team honored their five seniors, Jordyn Day (Richmond, Va, Varina), Ashley Henderson (Upper Marlboro, Md., North Point), Lindsey Purvis (Fort Myers, Fl, South Fort Myers), Amber Watkins (Honesdale, Pa, Honesdale), and Kai Wyatt (Baltimore, MD, Md Acad Tech & Hlth Sci), for all of their service and dedication to the Wilson women's basketball program.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.- The Wilson men's volleyball team played host to the 12th-ranked Lancaster Bible College Chargers tonight in their 2019 home opener. The match was also the first NEAC contest of the season for both teams. The Chargers were able to defeat the Phoenix in three sets by scores of 25-16, 25-17 and 25-14. With the win the Chargers improve to 8-2 overall and 1-0 in NEAC play. Wilson falls to 1-1 on the season and 0-1 in NEAC play.

BRYN ATHYN, Pa.- The Phoenix men's basketball team had five players score in double figures tonight against CSAC opponent Bryn Athyn, in a game where the Phoenix came out victorious, 97-77. With the win, Wilson improves to 12-11 on the season and are 8-3 in CSAC play. Bryn Athyn falls to 6-17 overall and 3-7 in the CSAC.

The Phoenix (11-11, 7-3 CSAC) fell behind early but were able to fight back into the game, however fell short in the end to a tough Rosemont team. With the win the Ravens improve to 9-12 overall and 4-4 in the CSAC.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa.- The Wilson College men's basketball team played host to the Giants of Keystone College this evening in a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) contest in a game where the Phoenix outlasted the Giants by a score of 96-80. Wilson (11-10, 7-2 CSAC) used a well-rounded scoring attack to defeat the Giants (3-19, 2-7 CSAC) for the second time this season.
