They lost the first match against the Alvernia Golden Wolves 3-1. In the second match, the Phoenix lost 3-1 again against the Wentworth Institute of Technology Leopards.

DANBURY, Conn. - The Eastern College Athletic Association (ECAC) has announced the match-ups for the 2018 ECAC Division III Men's Basketball Championship which will begin on Wednesday, February 28 at regional sites. The Wilson College men's basketball team, coming off of a historic regular season and appearance in the NEAC Final Four, has been selected as one of four #1 seeds in the tournament. The Phoenix will travel to play #4 seed Widener University on Wednesday night at 7:00 p.m. on the campus of Widener University in Chester, Pa. Should the Phoenix win, they will advance to the ECAC quarterfinals which will be hosted by Wilkes University with an opponent to be determined.

The Phoenix managed to score a pair of runs in their opener but fell short against Lynchburg by a final of 8-2. In their final game of the Grand Slam Triangle Classic they fell 8-0 in 5 innings to co-hosts N.C. Wesleyan.

The Phoenix start the season at the Grand Slam Triangle Classic in North Carolina where they will face off against William Peace University and Roanoke College on Saturday and finish the weekend against Lynchburg College and North Carolina Wesleyan.
